Your account

Register with your real name and contact details and keep your password private. A school approves who joins it; parents are linked to their children after verification. Tell the school or us at once if you think someone else has used your account.

Using Chuoni properly

• Use Chuoni only for the school's legitimate work and your own children's or your own records.
• Do not try to see data you are not meant to see, share another person's details, or upload anything unlawful or harmful.
• Do not interfere with the service, test its security without our written permission, or copy it.

Schools' responsibilities

The school is responsible for the accuracy of what it records, for having a lawful basis and the consents it needs, and for decisions made with Chuoni, such as fees, marks, leave and pay. Chuoni works out statutory deductions from the rates it maintains; the school remains responsible for its payroll and its returns to KRA, NSSF and SHA.

Payments

Online payments are handled by licensed payment providers into the school's own accounts. Chuoni records them but is not a bank and does not hold the money. Disputes about a fee or a refund are between the payer and the school.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Chuoni available and to back it up, but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We improve the service over time and will tell schools about changes that affect them.

Ending use

A school may stop using Chuoni as its agreement allows and ask for its data to be exported. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts others' data at risk.

Liability and law

To the extent the law allows, Chuoni is not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by information a school or user entered. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
